How to pass through a door

This might seem like common sense. Everyone knows how to pass through a door, right!? At least, so I thought.

After holding the door for eight people to pass through a restaurant without even acknowledging my courtesy, I started wondering if this was really common sense or not. Either people don’t hold the door for others that are right behind them, or, in case we do hold for them, sometimes they may pass through it without even saying "Thank You".

Although it seems a very simple process, it may not be clear to everyone, so I created a graphic to illustrate it. I also thought it would help to add it to the entrances of my school.

If you feel that your work, restaurant, building (you name it) might also benefit from one, here is a graph for you to print:
