Tip of the day: Laugh more
Original post: September 14, 2011
It’s in NY TIMES today: The act of laughing releases a lot of endorphins and make you feel much better all day long!
For those who don’t have patience to go through all the article (everybody has work to do, right!?), this is a brief summary:
I always associated the good feeling promoted by laughing to something psychological. Like, if you think positively, you’ll act positively too. But it turns out, that it has much more to do to the endorphins released by the physical exercise. Have you never laughed so much it hurt?
And on top of that, social laugh is also a bounding activity, like dancing and singing. And… bounding also releases endorphin!
Finally, we become more pain resistant after a good amount of laugh!
That all being said, if laughing is even more effective than crunches, I’d rather skip the gym and just laugh more.
p.s: this baby doesn’t seam to have any problem in doing that, and it makes me think about when was the time that we stopped enjoying the small things like ripping a paper… : )
