Hammocks with a view
A couple of weeks ago I was hiking at Will Rogers State Park, in Los Angeles, and I saw this series of trees. My first idea was: this would be an awesome place for hammocks!
Imagine the scenario: you’re all tired after a long hike and you get to this place from where you can see both Downtown LA AND the ocean. You want to be able to enjoy it for a little and just admire the view, but there’s no where to rest. If only I had a hammock…
Then the itching came and… why not? I started planning the execution and got some hammocks via Amazon.
The next Saturday, I went there again with a friend to hang not only one, but TWO hammocks at this privileged spot.
Like every isawonderfulworld intervention, we could not forget about the signs. These ones read like this:
The day is beautiful and so are you.
Just relax and enjoy the view.
Have a nice day!

I’m no Shakespeare, but thought it would do the trick.
After enjoying a bit of it ourselves, we decided to walk away and let others do the same. While we were at it, we did get a lot of curious comments from people.
So we left, but not before looking back and making sure the hammocks were being put to a good use:
A couple of weeks we went back to see what was left of the hammocks, and were surprised to find out that the folks from Will Rogers were even kind enough to leave me a note:
I thought it was cute they left this sign there. A nice day indeed! :)
