Hugs through distance

Today I went to a very cool symposium about Wearable Technology. Lots of projects were presented to us, but one of them really called my attention: The Hug Shirt, by CuteCircuit.

The name is almost self-explanatory. Let’s just say that you can hug anyone in the world, as long as they are wearing the same kind of shirt and both of you have a smart phone with their application running at.

Then you can send as many hugs as you want and your receivers are going to feel the same pressure and warmth that you are producing. I guess it’s a very good solution for these cold days here in New York!
